Philharmonia and Norseman hold joint fall concert

St. Olaf Philharmonia presented a joint fall concert with the Norseman Band on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in Boe Memorial Chapel.

Arthur Haecker conducted The Norseman Band, leading pieces such as “Xerxes” by John Mackey and “Fanfare For an Angel” by James Stephenson.

Steven Amundson conducted St. Olaf Philharmonia. St. Olaf Philharmonia played pieces such as  “‘Wedding March’ from Midsummer Night’s Dream, Op. 61” by Felix Mendelssohn and “Overture to West Side Story” by Leonard Bernstein.

The performance also included accompanyists Dana Maeda ’92 on oboe, JoAnn Polley ’73 on clarinet, Melissa Morey ’00 on horn and Cindy Bailey on bassoon.
